How Echtic Ltd uses the information you give us through this website, in plain English.
Who we are
Echtic Ltd (company number 17511085, registered in England and Wales), Holly House, St Aidans Crescent, Stanley DH9 7XF, is the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us at hello@echticstudios.com.
What we collect
- When you ask for a consultation: your name, email address and anything else you choose to tell us, such as your organisation, phone number, budget, timeline and what you want to build.
- When you email us: your email address and what you write.
- When you visit the site: we count visits with Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure.
Why we use it
To reply to you, arrange a call and prepare a quote. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
Cookies
The public pages of this website do not set cookies. Our private admin area uses one essential cookie to keep our own staff signed in.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that run this website and our email for us, on our instructions:
- Vercel, which hosts the website, with server functions in London.
- Neon, which stores enquiries in a database in London.
- Resend, which delivers our emails.
- Plausible Analytics, which counts visits without cookies or personal data.
Some of these companies are based outside the UK. Where your information may be accessed from outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards UK law allows, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US data bridge.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after 12 months. If you become a client, we keep project and billing records for six years after our work ends, as the law requires for accounts.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, ask us to stop using it or limit how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email hello@echticstudios.com and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

If we change this notice, we will update this page. Last updated October 2026.
