Live dashboards and reports. One set of numbers.
We turn the data you already hold into live dashboards, scheduled reports and statutory returns. Every figure is defined once, in the database, so the board pack, the manager’s screen and the return you send your funder always agree.
One definition, every report.
Most reporting problems are not about charts. They start when one measure is worked out three ways: in a spreadsheet, in the dashboard and again for the return. We define each measure once, and everything reads from it.
- Case and customer records
- Bookings and attendance
- Stock movements
- SMS and email logs
- Finance and price lists
- The live dashboard
- The scheduled email report
- The statutory return template
- CSV, Excel and PDF exports
- Written in the databaseA measure such as “attended” or “completed on time” is written once, as a tested view in the database itself. Dashboards, exports and returns all call that same code.
- Changed in one placeWhen the rules change, we change the definition once, with a test that proves the old and new figures. Every report moves together, and the change is recorded with a date and a reason.
- Explained on screenEach figure carries a short note saying what it counts and over which period, so nobody has to guess what “72%” means or argue about it in a meeting.
Change the grouping. The numbers still add up.
Managers choose how to slice a report: by month, by team or by service. Each view comes from the same definition, so the totals reconcile whichever way you cut them. Try the filters.
- Filters, not new reports
- Date range, team, service and site are filters on one report, so a new question does not mean a new report.
- Targets on the chart
- The target sits on the chart itself, so a manager sees at a glance who is above the line and who needs support.
- Export in one click
- CSV for analysts, Excel for finance, PDF for the board. Exports follow each person’s role, so nobody downloads data they should not see.
- Apr 78%North 91%Clinic 89%
- May 82%South 84%Home 92%
- Jun 86%East 76%Phone 81%
- Jul 80%West 88%Video 74%
- Aug 88%City 79%Group 85%
- Sep 91%Rural 86%App 70%
Three months at or above the 85% target, and the last two the best yet.Three teams at or above the 85% target. East and City are furthest below it.Home visits, clinics and groups meet the 85% target. App and video appointments miss it most.
Statutory and funder reporting for nine NHS Stop Smoking Services, built straight from over 150,000 client records. Nobody retypes a figure.
Managers work from live dashboards, the returns leave in the format they have to be sent in, and the same definitions sit behind both, so the screen and the report never disagree.
Read the NHS platform case studyWhat we build into your reporting
Reporting is part of the system, not a spreadsheet bolted on later. These come as standard.
A measure dictionary
Each figure is written down in plain English with its exact rule, owner and period, and agreed with you before we build. It becomes the reference your team and your auditors use.
Live dashboards
Figures update as work is recorded, not at month end. Managers click from a total to the records behind it, within what their role allows.
Scheduled reports by email
The weekly or monthly pack arrives on its own, as PDF or Excel, to the people who need it. If a run fails, we are alerted and it tries again, so your readers are not left waiting.
Statutory and funder returns
Where a funder or regulator gives you a template, we fill the official file directly, cell by cell. Nobody retypes figures, and the file is checked before it leaves.
Targets and trends
Targets per team or per person, shown on the chart and stored with their history, so last year’s target is still there when you compare.
Exports people actually use
CSV, Excel, PDF and Word, each laid out for its reader. Every export is logged with who ran it and when.
Data from where it lives
We report straight from your system, or bring data in from other tools through their APIs on a schedule, with checks on every import. Old spreadsheets are imported once, then retired.
Fast, even with years of data
Indexes and pre-summarised tables keep dashboards quick as records grow into the hundreds of thousands.
Often paired with a business system to hold the records, integrations that bring other tools’ data in, reports that build and send themselves and our security pack.
Reporting questions
Something else? hello@echticstudios.com
Can you report from the system we already have?
Usually, yes. If it has an API or a database we can read, we build reporting on top of it. If not, we agree a regular export with you and check every import.
Can you fill in our statutory or funder return?
Yes. We write the figures straight into the official template, from the same definitions your dashboards use.
Will the numbers match what we report today?
Before go-live we run the old and new reports side by side for the same period and explain every difference. Often the gap is a rule that was applied inconsistently by hand.
Do we need Power BI or Tableau?
No. Dashboards are built into your system, so there is no extra licence for each viewer. If your analysts prefer Power BI, we can also give them a clean, read-only data feed.
Can reports go out on their own?
Yes. Any report can be scheduled daily, weekly, monthly or at quarter end. It arrives by email as a PDF or Excel file, and we are alerted if a run fails, so nobody is left waiting for a pack that never came.
What if the figures change after we have sent them?
Every report shows when its data was taken. Live dashboards show the position now, and period reports can be locked once they are signed off, so the figure you sent is the figure you can show later.
How quickly can we have the first report?
Usually within weeks. We start with the report that costs your team the most time, then add the next ones in stages. Your quote sets out each stage.
Who can see which figures?
Reports follow the same roles as the rest of the system. A team leader sees their team, a director sees everything, and exports follow the same rules.
Tell us which report takes your team the longest.
A free consultation, then a fixed quote in stages. We start with that report and build out from there.
