What a good business website does. It gets you work.
It is the first conversation most customers have with you, usually on a phone, often in the evening. Every page moves that conversation one step on.
One next step on every page
Call, book, buy or ask for a quote, placed where a thumb can reach it. Fewer choices means more people take the one that matters.
Fast on a weak signal
On a bus, in a car park or on rural 4G, the words appear in under two and a half seconds, and nothing jumps while the page loads.
Found by the right people
A clear structure, proper headings and your business details in a form Google can read, linked to your Google Business Profile.
Easy to keep up to date
Prices, opening times, team profiles and photos changed by you, in minutes, from a phone or a laptop.
Anatomy of a fast page.
Speed is not one trick. It is four layers, each built properly. Here is what sits under every page we make.
Content
Your words, prices and photos, updated for you or in an admin portal you control. Change them and the page rebuilds in seconds.
Design system
Buttons, forms and type set once, so every new page looks right and stays accessible.
Code
Each page arrives as finished HTML, with images resized for the screen.
Edge
Cached close to the visitor, served encrypted, with your data in the UK.
What every site includes. As standard.
Whatever the size. Most small-business sites never meet half of these.
Built to WCAG 2.2 AA
Usable with a keyboard, a screen reader or text at 200%, tested with axe and by hand before launch.
Passes Core Web Vitals
Google's page-experience measures, met on a mid-range phone over 4G and checked again after launch.
Forms that reach you
Enquiries land in your inbox, or the tool your team already uses, with spam filtered out.
Redirects from your old site
Every old address points to its new home, so links and rankings carry over.
UK hosting and HTTPS
Hosted in the UK, served encrypted, backed up daily on a care plan.
No cookie banner
Visits counted without tracking cookies, so nothing gets between a visitor and your phone number.
Built around what your customers do.
A plumber, a physio and a gift shop need different things from a website. Pick yours to see what we would build first.
Quote requests from your own patch.
People searching for a plumber or a builder want three things fast: do you cover my area, do you do this job, and can I send you a photo. The site answers all three on the first screen and turns the answer into a quote request with photos attached.
- Area covered and accreditations up front
- Quote form with photo upload from the phone
- Google Business Profile and LocalBusiness schema set up

Patients book in two taps.
Patients book in two taps, see prices up front and fill in forms before they arrive. Your CQC rating and each practitioner's registration number sit where people look for them, and health details never travel in a plain email.
- Online booking or your booking system embedded
- Prices, location and parking on every service page
- UK GDPR-safe forms for health details

Salon and studio clients choose by eye. The site leads with your work, shows who does what and what it costs, and links straight to booking. Your Instagram feeds in, so the gallery stays fresh without you touching the site.
- Gallery that loads fast on mobile data
- Treatments, prices and staff profiles kept up to date
- Booking button on every page

Book with JessLook as good as the work you do.
Accountants, solicitors and consultants win on trust. The site says plainly who you help, what it costs to start and who they will deal with, then asks for one thing: a short call. Regulatory details sit in the footer, where they belong.
- Clear services with fixed-fee starting points
- Team profiles with qualifications
- One enquiry form, routed to the right person
Book a free 20-minute call
Sell online without a monthly cut.
An independent shop needs a checkout that works on a phone first time, stock that matches the shelf, and delivery rules that make sense. Stripe takes the payment; you keep the customer, the data and the design.
- Stripe checkout with Apple Pay and Google Pay
- Click and collect, delivery zones and VAT
- Order emails and an orders list you can work from

Add the admin portal. Edit it yourself.
Every website comes with changes made for you on a care plan. If you would rather do them yourself, the admin portal adds £850: new prices on Monday, a holiday closure on Friday, published in a click, and the page stays just as fast.
Roles for your team
A receptionist can change opening times without access to everything else.

Training that sticks

Start with the website. Add the rest when it pays.

Website questions
Something else? hello@echticstudios.com
How much does a business website cost?
Our business websites start from £450, fixed and written down before you commit. The free website plan gives you a fixed quote for your exact site, so the "from" price becomes a real number.
How long does a website take?
Most business websites take 1–2 weeks from go-ahead, including design, with a preview link that updates every week as we build.
Why not just use Wix or Squarespace?
For some businesses a builder is the right call, and we will say so. We build when speed, Google and enquiries matter, and when the site needs to grow into booking, payments or a portal without starting again.
Will it get me on Google?
Nobody honest can promise rankings. We do promise the technical side: fast pages, clean structure, your Google Business Profile linked and redirects from your old site, so you keep what you have earned.
Who owns the website?
You do. The domain is in your name, the code sits in an account you control, and there is no licence fee to keep it running.
Is a company that builds NHS software too big for me?
No. Most of what we build is websites for small businesses. The NHS work is why yours will be fast and secure, not a reason it costs more.
Five working days from now, you could have your website plan.
A sitemap, a homepage design and a fixed quote. Free, with no obligation.
